Is Facebook Taking Over Our Life

Facebook on the brain

With over 950 million users worldwide,500 million log in daily, and when you hear that 136,000 Photos are uploaded, 510,000 comments are posted and 293,000 statuses are updated.I have think there is no doubting that Facebook has taken over our lives.I think the real question is that either it is better for us or worse?. Now its impossible to get through the day without being affected by it.It was late to social media scene,my main reason for not getting was that i didn't see the benefit, but since I joined a few years ago I can now see the powerful draw it has on the millions of users around the world.                                                                                                It ‘s now impossible to get through the day with out being affected by Facebook in some shape or form . Weather it is a company encouraging you to like their Facebook page on their TV advert or a friend sharing the latest Harlem Shake Video  on your wall , it’s pretty hard to escape the jaws of Facebook.  As I look around the computer lab I am in right now I can see five computer screens and three of them are on Facebook.  This is a real sign of how obsessed people are becoming with Facebook. This observation is backed up with hard evidence according to Socialbakers,  the total Facebook users in Ireland alone is over 2.2 million,  this is a staggering  statistic as it is 71.29% of  Ireland online population.   In other words,  half of the Irish population is on Facebook.  The daily routine has changed from waking up  in the morning getting washed and dressed and going down stairs to have breakfast,  to waking up checking Facebook,  getting washed checking it again and Facebook the  whole way down the stairs until you reach the kitchen where there might be a momentary pause for a piece of toast.  Hubspot conducted a report saying that the first 50% of 18-24 years old do check the notifications in the morining..

"BUT THEIR IS NOT DOUBT THAT IT HAS CHANGED OUR LIVES FOR BETTER"
